Our team at the Invercargill Toy Library consist of volunteers with varying roles to help run the library and our lovely librarian!
We are looking for more volunteer committee members! Please contact us if you are interested in any of the roles below
The Toy Buyer is responsible for ordering toys and preparing them to go on the shelves for hire at the Toy Library. Toy purchases are done in conjunction with committee feedback based on our wish list, and with the Treasurer to ensure we have available funds. Toys are ordered, entered into our software system for hire, numbered, labelled and packaged before going out for hire. This role would be well suited to someone who has great time-management, is organised and comfortable using online software.
This role involves overseeing our fundraising activities from year to year. The Invercargill Toy Library does approximately 3-4 fundraisers per year, which are usually decided upon at the start of the year. The whole committee assists with fundraising events, however having someone to be the main point of contact would be ideal. Fresh ideas, motivation to make events happen & market them, creativity and organisation are great skills to have this role.
